End-user terms

Contact: dylanddermott@gmail.com

These terms describe the proposed application licence for future distribution. No download or purchase is offered on this website.

1. Your licence

For personal, non-commercial use only, and subject to your purchase or other lawful entitlement and these terms, the publisher grants you a non-exclusive licence to install and use the supplied Doppler Atlas application on compatible devices as permitted by the platform through which you obtained it. This licence covers the application, not ownership of its underlying intellectual property. Keep any entitlement or device limits disclosed by that platform.

You may make a backup where allowed by law and your platform's terms. You may not distribute the publisher's application to others without permission, misrepresent its origin, or use it unlawfully. Public weather information and separately licensed components are governed by their own rights, not by a claim that the publisher owns them.

Commercial use requires a separate written commercial licence from Dylan McDermott before use. A Base purchase or Pro subscription does not include a commercial licence. Commercial licences are considered case by case and may be granted or declined at the publisher’s discretion, subject to applicable law. Contact dylanddermott@gmail.com to discuss your intended use. This restriction applies to the publisher’s application, not to independently licensed open-source components or public weather data rights.

2. Weather data and intended use

Doppler Atlas is a viewer for exploring weather observations. It is not an official government product or an emergency warning service. Data can be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or affected by processing. Radar coverage, thresholds, interpolation and velocity processing affect what you see. A displayed time for one layer may differ from another layer's time.

Use official weather warnings and other appropriate information for decisions involving safety. Do not treat the application as a guarantee of conditions or as the sole basis for an emergency decision. These statements do not exclude rights or responsibilities that applicable law makes non-waivable.

3. Third-party software, fonts and data

Third-party components retain their respective licences, copyright notices and other applicable terms. Consult the notices supplied with your copy, including THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt, PYINSTALLER_LICENSE.txt, engine notices and any source-information materials. A component's own licence controls if these application terms conflict with rights it grants you.

In particular, these terms do not restrict your rights to obtain, copy, modify, replace or redistribute covered open-source components under their applicable licences, or to reverse engineer for debugging modifications where the relevant licence or law permits it. This exception is not a grant to redistribute proprietary Unity or Microsoft components beyond their own terms.

Government and third-party names identify sources or compatible services. No endorsement or affiliation is implied. Individual datasets and imagery may have source-specific conditions; a map being viewable does not transfer ownership of its source imagery to the publisher or user.

4. Services, compatibility and changes

Internet features depend on services operated by others. The publisher does not control their availability, coverage, retention practices, rate limits or terms. The included recorded example can be used without retrieving new data, subject to the contents of the supplied version.

Compatibility and supported features are those described for the specific version you obtain. A Windows PC-VR build is not a standalone Quest application. Experimental features supplied in development versions are not automatically included in consumer versions. Do not infer a promise of lifetime service availability, updates or future platform support from a current feature.

Materially revised terms will be identified with their version or date and provided for future releases as applicable. An existing purchase and mandatory consumer rights are not retrospectively removed merely by changing a webpage.

5. Privacy and support

See the privacy information supplied with the application or linked from its support page for direct data-service requests, local caches, diagnostics and support communications. Do not send passwords, payment information or private files when seeking help. Review any log before sharing it.

Purchases, refunds and platform accounts are also subject to the applicable store's terms. These terms do not limit any refund, warranty or consumer remedy that applicable law requires.

6. Warranty and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the application and third-party data are supplied without additional promises of completeness, uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Third-party licence disclaimers continue to apply to their covered components.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable statutory consumer rights or responsibility for intentional misconduct or other non-waivable conduct.

7. Ending use

You may stop using and uninstall the application at any time. Material unlawful use or a material breach may end the application licence to the extent permitted by law and platform terms. This does not terminate independently granted open-source rights or remove surviving statutory rights. Locally cached data and diagnostics may remain after uninstalling; the support page explains how to remove app-managed caches.

8. Publisher and contact

Doppler Atlas is published independently by Dylan McDermott. Contact the publisher through the support page supplied with the application or linked from its listing.
